Davidic Dance Worship Workshop
Come experience worship with your feet on Wednesdays from 7:30pm-8:45pm! Davidic Dance classes start 1/11 in Room 337 and run through 4/11 - all are welcome! It's not about getting it perfect, but worshiping our Creator. Free registration online.
Dance has been a Biblical form of worship throughout the ages. It is an expression of joy, triumph, praise, and celebration. We have the leadership examples of Miriam and King David in Exodus and First Samuel using dance to unite the community in worship. The title Davidic Dance comes from the worship dance of the Messianic movement of this century. It incorporates folk style movements patterned after traditional Israeli folk dances, but it differs in that Davidic Dance is always in a worshipful context using Messianic music. Dances may vary from very simple, repetitive steps to more complex and are choreographed for a group to dance without any emphasis on one dancer. The tone of Messianic Jewish dances range from reverentially devotional to exuberantly joyful. Dancers include men, women, teenagers and young children. It's not about getting it perfect, but worshiping our Creator. We were created to glorify HIM. Come join us and experience WORSHIP with your feet!

Respectable Sins: Confronting the Sins We Tolerate - Tues. p.m.
Tuesday Evening Study ~ 1/17/2012 - 3/13/2011 ~ 7:00- 8:15 p.m. ~ Holly Lundberg ~ Room 345
As Christians, we believe that all sins are considered equal in God's eyes. Yet while evangelicals continue to decry the Big Ones - such as abortion, adultery and violence - we often overlook more deceptive sins. it seems we've created a sliding scale where gossip, jealousy and selfishness comfortably exist within the walls of the chruch. Some sins have simply become acceptable. Just as our modern culture has lost the concept of absolute truth and absolute sin, the church faces the same danger. Drawing from scriptural truth, the author sheds light on subtle behaviors that can derail our spiritual growth and encourages a victory over personal sin through the gospel's transforming power. Marriage Prep is designed to help engaged couples to build their marriages on a solid foundation.
We believe that one of the essential keys to having a long-lasting and rewarding marriage is to start it off right from the very beginning. However, many young couples spend all their time and energy during their engagement planning a wedding, not preparing for a lifetime of marriage. Johnson Ferry's Marriage Prep is a weekend workshop designed to help engaged couples to build their marriages on a solid foundation.
So, what happens at Marriage Prep? We combine relevant teaching with video clips, discussion opportunities and other creative tools that get you thinking about what marriage will truly be like. We even feed you some great food!
